Cinderfella : A story about a man, his boot and the farmers daughter!
By: Erin Hughes EDUC 355
Reflection: Before this project I had never heard of voice thread. It is a very interesting and unique site that definitely allows students to get more creative. I am not personally a big fan because this is not the type of project I like doing. However, I think it is a great way for students to present their knowledge and their artwork. Using voicethread it would easy to showcase the students work on the class blog or wiki and on parent night. Since I am an elementary education major I do not see myself using this program in the younger grades due to the difficulty level. But I do think that fourth and fifth graders would grasp the concept pretty well after watching a tutorial and with my help. I did not have any trouble using voice thread and I found that watching the quick tutorial really made the process move quickly. Uploading pictures and changing information on the site took a while (it could be because of Campbell's internet) but eventually it would upload and save. I could see myself using this as a teaching tool in my class as well as having my students make their own. Instead of having to read straight from the book or textbook voicethread could make the reading fun and exciting!
